Association des Amis du Musée Ariana (AAA)

Bringing together enthusiasts and connoisseurs of the fired arts, appreciating everything from historical objects to contemporary creations, the Association des Amis du Musée Ariana (AAA – Association of Friends of the Musée Ariana) acts as a hub for all forms of financial support contributing to the enrichment of the collections. Thanks to the association’s hard work, the Ariana has been able to acquire a number of major historical pieces.

Another task of the AAA is to increase public awareness of the wealth and diversity of the Musée Ariana’s ceramics and glassware collections, and to support the museum’s efforts in terms of its conservation and management by organising events aimed at promoting the institution and its collections. In addition, it carries out fundraising to enable the acquisition of pieces that will expand and enhance the museum’s collections.

Join the Association des Amis du Musée Ariana and help spread the word about the museum's collections, exhibitions and activities.

International Academy of Ceramics (IAC)

The Ariana: IAC headquarters

The International Academy of Ceramics (IAC) is an association that was founded in 1952 in Geneva, Switzerland, by Henri J. Reynaud, who was President of the IAC until his death in 1964. The IAC is currently the only NGO maintaining official relations with UNESCO in the field of ceramics at an international level. It brings together 67 countries and over 670 members: ceramicists, potters, artists, designers, writers, cultural promoters, goodwill ambassadors, collectors, gallery owners, curators, conservators, restorers and a panel of prestigious institutions.

The aims of the IAC are to promote a sense of fellowship and communication between ceramics professionals in all countries.

Every two years, the IAC organises a conference, which attracts over 300 participants who are enthusiasts and specialists in the field. During these conferences, the host city becomes a magnet for ceramics lovers, with over 30 exhibitions organised, including IAC Members’ Exhibitions and a national exhibition featuring local artists. The conferences also provide the opportunity to attend talks focusing on contemporary cultural issues.
